The Rune Shaman's view of things is usually the direct opposite of mass man's views. Much of what the average person thinks is desirable, the Rune Shaman considers worthless.

Much of what the average person calls truth, the Rune magician may consider lies.

One of the biggest lies the average person believes in is the concept of "DEATH." Death is in the background of their minds.

One of the Rune Shaman's first tasks is to eradicate the FEAR of DEATH. Fear of death is necessary for the average person. It is used by the dogmatic religions to keep people in line. The way to overcome fear of Death, is to look it in the eye. It's part of every one's reality, there's no way around it. Most people do not really fear death, they fear the FEAR of dying.

The Christian bible does not help when it continues the lie that when people die they either go to Heaven or Hell, with no after life. The problem with most people concerning death, is subscribing to a belief system which is based upon FEAR.

The Rune Shaman has a real advantage over the average person because they no longer fear death.

A Rune Shaman is calm and accepting of the approach of Death. They make conscious efforts to keep themselves calm in the day to day life. They use their tools and relax and let things unfold.

The tools for the 21st Century Rune Shaman must contain the Laws of Quantum Physics. These laws tell us that there exists an infinite ocean of intelligent energy called the Quantum Ocean. Everything that ever was, is or will be exists there. There is no time or space, only the NOW.

The Rune Shaman knows that they Blink in and Out of the Quantum Ocean creating new births and deaths. They know that they have always existed in the Quantum Ocean, which is the Mind of God.

They know that the Runes, the Norse Gods and Goddess's exist in the Quantum Ocean. They know how to contact them and use their energies and powers in their own lives.

The Laws of Quantum Physics also tell us that our thoughts are THINGS. What we believe and think and fear will come upon us.

As a practicing, Rune Shaman you must get rid of all fear of death. We are immortal souls. We do not die. We blink in and out of the Quantum Ocean.

The thoughts, beliefs and fears we take with us when we die (blink back into the Quantum Ocean" are what create the Energy Matrix of our next incarnation (when we blink out)

Many of the dogmatic Religious belief systems use fear of death as a tool to keep millions and millions of people incarnating into a fixed energy matrix of beliefs that they have created.

As a Rune Shaman, you will understand that there is no death and that reincarnation is a fact. Learn how to use the energies of the Runes to re-create your present life and prepare for your next incarnation.

Rune Shamanism Magic is the combining of three powerful practices. Runes are Universal Creative Energies. Each rune is a key to an energy which is contained in the Quantum Ocean, Mind of God.

The Laws of Quantum Physics Tell us that there exists an infinite ocean of thinking, intelligent energy called the Quantum Ocean or the Mind of God. Everything that ever was, is or will be exists in the Quantum Ocean. The runes exist, all shamanistic practices exist, magic exists. A runic shaman reaches into the Quantum Ocean and brings out the energies he/she wants to create rituals with.

Now in the 21st century it is wise to create new rituals, with new energy. Leave all the old shamanistic rituals and magical rituals of the past alone. Let them remain in tbe Quantum Ocean. They are tainted with older thoughts and emotions of the Age of Pisces, Christianity. We are now in the Age of Aquarius (thoughts are things). Use the new Aquarian energies to build your new rituals.

Magic is the ability to effect people, places and events from a distance. All magic needs a methodology. The methology for all magic consists of three functioning principles. A power course, a wish, spell, curse or desire (what do you want) and a target (where do you want the energy to go?)

Shamans, voo-doo practitioners, mystics, distant healers etc, all have their own methodology for using these three functioning principles.

Now in the Age of Aquarius a new device has been added to the shaman's, magicians, healers, tool kit. Radionics! Radionics combines the power needed the wish and the target in a small compact electronic device. All rune masters and rune shamans of the future will have to get a working knowledge of rune radionics.

A rune shaman can move through the worlds and be in different places at the same time. The Laws of Quantum Physics tell us there is only one world, the Quantum Ocean, the Mind of God. All the physical, mental, astral worlds are only extensions or manifestation of the Quantum Ocean, Mind of God.

So, today the rune shaman need only to know how the Quantum Ocean works and how to get acces to it. And they can do it from the comfort of their easy chair.

The main device, toll or practice that the modern rune shaman will use is "Mental Radionics." Their mind will be the power source, the mental images of the runes and norse gods/goddesses, health, wealth and happiness blueprints are the wishes and desires and the mental images in their mind and where they want the energy to go is the target.

What you need to do is build strong mental images of all the runes in your minds eye. What you look at with your mind you touch in the Quantum Ocean. You make the runic energies available to you 24/7.

You also need to build strong mental images of all the Norse/Germanic gods/goddesses. By dong this you make contact with them in the Quantum Ocean, Mind of God.

You must also learn all the keywords associated the runes. All the qualities and powers of the Norse/Germanic gods/goddesses. These are your tools. They are mental tools. Fill up your mental tool box.

Do not be in any rush to practice rune shamanism. Prepare yourself first. Take at least a year perfecting your mental images, your meditation and your understanding of th Laws of Quantum Physics.

Galdr (Galdor) is old Norse for "incantation." It is verbal Rune Magic.'

The 18 Armenian Runes fit together, as a puzzle, into the World Crystal. Each Rune is a symbolic representation of a Universal Creative Force.

The Laws of Quantum Physics are telling us that there exists an infinite ocean of thinking, intelligent, energy called the Quantum Ocean or Mind of God. Everything that ever was, is or will be is there. All the Armenian Runes are there. There is no time there, only the NOW. Every Rune Shaman who ever used the Runes is there.

When you take your ideas about Rune Shamanism from a book, or you practice some other Shaman's rituals, you attract not only the energy of the ritual into your Aura, but the Shaman's also.

That is why you are now building your own Shaman Rituals. You are being shown how using the modern Laws of Quantum Physics, to attract clean pure Runic energy out of the Quantum Ocean into your life, that is specifically designed for YOU.

Rune Shamanism and Norse God Balder

Balder and Rejuvenation

As a Runic Shaman, you are now building your mental powers to include all the tools you will need within your own mind.

All the work you do will be on the mental plane. If you want to create Health, Wealth, or Happiness for yourself or friends, kin or loved ones, you must first do it on the mental plane. If you want to strengthen the presence of the Runes and Norse/Germanic Gods/Goddesses on the Planet now, you must first do it on the mental plane.

The 21st century has brought us the Age of Aquarius. The Age of Aquarius has given us the Laws of Quantum Physics. The Laws of Quantum Physics tell us that there exists and infinite ocean of thinking, intelligent energy called the Quantum Ocean. We can also call it the Mind of God. Not small, personal, "anthropomorphic" Gods like Odin, Zeus, Jesus, Buddha etc. But the Big "G." The Grand Architect of the Universe. The Creator God who, with his/her mind created all that ever was, is or will be and put it into the Quantum Ocean for us to use.

The Runes, the Norse/Germanic Gods/Goddesses exist in the Quantum Ocean. It is only up to us to attract them out and into our minds, our reality. The Runes are keys to Universal Creative Energies. We can attract them out of the quantum ocean and into our minds.

Mental Radionics, another gift of the Laws of Quantum Physics, tell us that our minds are radionics devices. Whatever clear mental images we hold in our minds eye touches the energy field of the image in the Quantum Ocean. If you hold a clear cut image of a rune in your mind's eye, you touch the Runic energies in the Quantum Ocean. When you consciously breath it into your Aura, you will have that energy to use for yourself or to project elsewhere.

The same is true for one of the Gods/Goddesses. Hold their mental image in your mind's eye and breath them into your Aura. They will then become part of your reality. You can then work with them to create what you want.

That is what a Runic Shaman does and how he/she does it. Continue to build clear cut images of the Runes and the Gods/Goddesses into your mind every day. At this point in your Rune Shamanism preparation, you have an image of Odin, Thor and Tyr. They represent Wisdom, Strength and Courage.

Now let us bring Balder into our life. Again go out on the net and read and study all you can about the Norse God Balder. Find the print you want to use and print it out.

Balder is the Norse/Germanic Sun God. He is the God of Light, Beauty and Rejuvenation. He was loved by all the Gods/Goddesses except Loki, who was jealous of his beauty.

When Balder had a dream that threatened his life, he told his mother, Frigga, the All-mother. Frigga extracted an oath from everyone and everything that they would not harm Balder. Balder and the Gods/Goddesses used to play a game where they would throw darts or stones at each other. No one was ever hurt.

Loki found out that the bush called mistletoe did not give Frigga an oath not to hurt Balder. He took some mistletoe and urged the god Hod, who was blind, to throw it at Balder. The Dart with the mistletoe went through Balder, killing him. Hernod, son of Odin, then went to Hel to try to bring Balder back to Asgard. Once there he was told that if everything in the world, dead or alive, would weep for Balder, he would be released from Hel.

Everyone did but "Loki." As a result, Balder remained in Hel.

Balder was later rejuvenated and regenerated. He carries this power with him. Bring him into your life, we all could stand to be rejuvenated.

Balder's wife was Nana. Their son was Forseiti, the God of Justice. Balder's Hall was Breidablik (Broad splendor.)

Sowulo is Balder's rune. Air is his element and Gold is his color.

When I visualize Balder in my meditations, I see a tall well built God with flowing blond hair and blue eyes. He is dressed in a flowing red robe and holds a spear upside down with a sprig of mistletoe on top. His shield is designed like a blazing Sun and he is surrounded by a golden Aura.

Pick your Balder print and breathe him into your reality along with his rejuvenating energy.

Attract The Courage of TYR

We can thank the Age of Aquarius for bringing us the Laws of Quantum Physics. It is the use of these Laws that allow the individual Asatruer to work at home, alone, as a solitary practitioner.

There is no more need to go into the woods with a group of "wanna-be" Vikings. We are in the 21st Century. We are no longer Vikings, just as the Italian man is no longer a Roman soldier, or the Cheyenne a Dog soldier.

We live in different times. But we can still cherish the Gods/Goddesses of our ancestors and bring them into our daily life.

And we can do this with one of the Laws of Quantum Physics, the Law of Mental Radionics.

Quantum Physics tells us that there exists an infinite Ocean of thinking, intelligent energy called the Quantum Ocean (Mind of God). Everything that ever was, is or will be exists there. There is no time there. There is no past, present, nor future. There is only the NOW.

The Gods/Goddesses of our Norse/Germanic ancestors live there. The runes exist there.

We must learn how to bring them out and into our lives. As 21st Century Runic Shamans, we need to connect with them in our minds.

The Laws of Mental Radionics, tell us that whatever you think about, you touch.

An old proverb says " ....Think of the Gods, and the Gods will think of YOU."

But before we can become functional, practicing runic shamans, we must collect our tools. Mentally we will be doing all our Runic Shamnic work on the mental plane.

If you have been following my previous articles, then you know you must get the energies of the Runes inside you. You cannot project energy outward, which is primarily what a Rune Shaman does, if you have no energy in you.

You will also need to get good mental images of the Norse/Germanic Gods/Goddesses you wish to work with, in your mind. We already spoke about Odin and Thor. Today let us speak about Tyr.

You can go out on the Net and gather all the information about Tyr you want. The more the merrier. Also get a good print of him for your meditations.

Here are some of the attributes of Tyr that I use.

He is the God of Courage, Battle and Justice. He is the God who has only one hand. He lost his right hand when he placed it in the mouth of the Fenris Wolf.

Odin and the other Gods wanted to bind the Fenris Wolf because he was getting too big and too dangerous. They wanted to place a magical rope around his neck, but the wolf didn't trust them. So Tyr placed his right hand in the Wolf's mouth. The wolf bit it off when the rope took hold. Tyr is the God of Courage.

Tyr is the Norse name, Tiw is the English, Zio Dutch and Ziu German.

Tyrs's element is Fire , his colors purple and dark red; his number is one. Tyr's primary sigal is Teiwaz Rune and his magical items are his shield, helmet and sword.

You invoke Tyr for battle, Justice, help in court and swearing oaths. His Runes are Teiwaz, Raido, Dagaz and Sowulo.

Tyr means "Sky God" and he was the original All father. His existence goes back far into Northern European History.

When I meditate upon Tyr, I build a clean mental image of him. I picture him dressed in chain mail. He has a shield, buckled to his right arm and he holds his sword high in his left hand. The fierce look in his eyes which stares out at you from beneath his helm, tells you why there wer so few oath-breakers.

Visualize Tyr when you need courage or when you are involved in a legal court case.

But for now build your mental tool chest.

Use Thor For Protection, Power and Health

The whole concept of Rune Shamanism focuses on the mind. The human mind is the most powerful creating machine in the universe.

We have never been told this. A few of those in power as well as the shamans, healers and magicians of old knew this. They kept it a secret.

We were left with the obligation to ask them for advice. to believe them. Now that we are in the Age of Aquarius we have entered the era of I Know. I don't need them anymore.

As a 21st Century Rune Shaman, we need to use the tools of the Age of Aquarius. All the tools available to us can be controlled and used by our minds.

The Laws of Quantum Physics, Mental Radionics, Attraction and Resonant Frequencies are all mind tools.

The Laws of Quantum Physics tell us that there is an infinite Ocean of thinking, intelligent energy called the Quantum Ocean. It can also be thought of as "The Mind of God."

It is a thinking mind that creates individual as well as collective realities from thoughts, words and mental images.

Therefore, as a Rune Shaman, you must make sure that your mental images of your tools are clear and sharp. You will be doing all your Rune Shamanism work with your mind from your sacred mental space on your mountain.

On a daily basis keep meditating and breathing in the symbols of the Runes and their meanings. Practice, practice, practice is the way to Carnegie hall.

When you bring a particular Runic image into your mind; you will make a connection with it's Runic Energy in the Quantum Ocean. You then will be able to direct the energy where you want it to go.

he same with the Gods/Goddesses of the North. You will want to create strong mental images of them in your mind so that you can call on them at any time. They all exist in the Quantum Ocean waiting for you to call.

In the last article we talked about Odin.

Now, let's talk about Thor. There will come a time when you will want Thor with you on the mental and Astral planes.

By creating a strong, sharp mental image of him in your mind, you will be able to summon him at any moment. He is the defender of Asgard and MidGard and the the friend of Man. His element is Fire, his color Red; his number is four; his totem goats; his personal symbols are the sun wheel and shieldnut.

Thor's magical items that he uses to kill the Frost Giants are his Hammer 'Moljinor'; his magical belt and gloves; his chariot pulled by goats and his Thunderbolts. He also carries the "Oath Ring." Any Viking making an oath and then breaking it, is punished by being out-lawed and/or killed.

Thor has been invoked down through the centuries for defense; agriculture, pleasant weather, strength and fertility.

His personal Runes are Uraz, Thurasaz, Raido and Solwulo.

His wife Sif, is the corn goddess. Thor is the friend of the working man and it is interesting that in Russia, they use a Thor's Hammer as part of the Communistic Symbols. Those of you working to stop the exploitation and pollution of the Earth, should invoke Thor with his Hammer, Moljinor.

Physically, I picture Thor thlis way:

I see him riding in his battle chariot which is pilled by two battle goats. He has red hair and a thick read beard. There is the light of a true, determined Warrior pouring out of his blue eyes.

His hammer, Molfinor, is held high over his head ready to swing at any Frost Giant who get in his way.

Use the net and get all the information about Thor you want. Pick the image you want to use when seeing him in your minds eye.

Remember as a Rune Shaman you will be only as good and strong as your mental images.

Rune Shamanism Odin Part 3

To be a powerful Rune Shaman, you need powerful tools. In this 21st Century the most powerful tool we have is our MIND.

The Laws of Quantum Physics, Mental Radionics, Attraction and Resonant Frequencies can all be used as good tools, if consciously controlled by your mind.

We are told that thoughts are things. We do not think in words, or hold words in our minds eye; we hold images and symbols.

Therefore, to use the 21st Century tools and become a powerful Rune Shaman you need clear, strong, precise images in your mental tool box.

Every day in your apprenticeship period you should be breathing in each of the Runes and creating strong precise images of their symbols in your mind.

Since the Runes are connected to the Pantheon of Norse Gods/Goddesses, you should have clear definitions in your mind of who they are and what they do. Also clear images of what they look like as well.

Visualizing on my Northern Mountain top, on my ledge overlooking all the worlds, I have the Northern Gods/Goddesses present. I hold them there because of the strong, clear images of them I keep in my mind's eye.

Here's how I percieve Odin. He is the All-Father, and most powerful of all the Norse Gods. I picture him sitting on his throne, on the North side of my ledge.

Odin is the God of Wisdom, Magic and Runes. He is the archetypal magician who Tolkein, in his Lord of the Rings used to portray Gandolf. The element associated with Odin is air.

I invoke Odin for Wisdom, Healing, Victory, Occult Power, Sorcery and Writing, as he is also Odrahar, the god of Inspiration.

His spear Gungnir never misses it's target when thrown in battle over the heads of the enemy it scares them out of formation. The shaft has Odin's Runes etched on it.

Odin's magical animals are Slepnier, the eight legged flying horse. The ravens Hugnin, thought and Munin, memory. And his wolves Geri, greed, and Freki, lust.

The magical number I use when invoking Odin is nine. He spent nine days and nine nights hanging upside down on the Yggdrasil Tree, the mighty Ash or World tree. This is the price he paid to re-discover the Runes.

The Runes are Universal Creative Energies and they existed long before either Odin or the Vikings.

Odin appears to us in three forms, the warrior, shaman and the wanderer.

The Runes associated with Odin are: Ansuz (Os) Wunjo and Othila.

As a shaman, Odin sacrificed his eye in the Well of Mimir, for knowledge. At the Well of Mimir he was taught how to use the Runes.

Odin, the wanderer can be seen traveling around Midgard in his long blue, hooded cape, with floppy hat and long staff.

You can go out on the net and gather as much information about Odin as you wish. The more you know about him and understand him, the stronger wil be the resonant frequency link you build to him.

Here is how I picture Odin on my ledge. He is sitting on his dragon headed throne. He has his royal blue robe draped around his naked body. He holds his spear Gungnir in his right hand leaning against his right shoulder. The ravens Hugnin and Munnin are pearched on his shoulders. The wolves Geri and Freki lie at his feet.

The more knowledge and the clearer image you have in your mind of Odin, the more you will be able to use him in your Shamanic rituals. Take your image and see it in your minds eye daily.

Building Your Mental Working Space

The whole concept behind Rune Shamanism is Mental Radionics, This is magic at a distance without any physical tools or apparatus.

All the books written to date; tell us how shamans of all races and ages used totems, trances, talismans, spells, shape-changing, mind altering, delusion and illusion to work their magic.

They all had great stores of herbs, tools, implements, knives, daggers, animal robes, head dresses, body paints, dances, chants and in some cases psychadelic drugs.

There are still working shamans in Lappland, Native American lands, Aborigine lands and Inuit Lands to name a few.

The Rune Shamanism rituals you read about on the net were meant for Northern European Shamans of the Viking Age. That was over 1000 years ago.

The only constant in the Universe is change. If you wish to become a modern day Rune-Shaman the methodology that you use must change. You must update it so that it resonates to the 21st Century.

What do we know about now? We have rotated around our Galactic Sun so that we are in an entirely new space in the Heavens. This new space is called the Age of Aquarius.

We have new sciences to work with. And new discoveries made every day. The Laws of Quantum Physics, Mental Radionics and resonant frequencies are for our use.

To beging you must build or create in your own mind all the tools, implements, spells, totems, and rituals that you need to become the powerful Rune Shaman that you want to be.

Everything that you will do will be done on the mental level. And the beauty of this new 21st Century approach is that you can do it all from the safety and comfort of your own home. This makes it ideal for the modern day Asatru Pagan who wants to be a solitary practicioner and work in privacy.

Let us learn how to use your mind to build your inner worlds. The Quantum Ocean tells us that there exists an infinite ocean or Intelligent Creative Energy called the Quantum Ocean, Mind of God. Everything that ever was, is or will be exists there. There is no time, no space. There is only the "Here Now!"

This Quantum Ocean responds to your every thought. What you think about touches the energy of that thought in the Quantum Ocean. You make contact and the energy of your thought flows (or blinks) into your life.

Think of a slice of apple pie often enough and before you know it , you will be eating a slice of apple pie. When you hold a picture or symbol in your minds eye, the Law of Mental Radionics connects you to the energy of your mental picture in the Quantum Ocean.

Runes are Universal symbols which are connected to Universal creative energies in the Quantum Ocean.

Let us build your inner worlds. Sit quietly in your favorite chair, or private room. Breath slowly and deeply. Relax.

Now make an image in your mind of your sacred Rune Shamanism space.

I imagine myself sitting on a throne up on a mountain ledge high in the Northern Mountains.

Pick a place where you want to perform your Rune Magic; whether it is a mountain top, forest, river bank, desert, sacred cave it doesn't matter. What is important is that it is a place you feel comfortable working in, that resonates to YOU.

Now, with the image in your minds eye, see yourself sitting there looking out over the void. This mental image of you sitting on your throne on your mountain top, or whatever place you are visualizing, is REAL. It is on your mental level.

Now expand your mental realm. Hold a mental imaage of yourself sitting in your sacred space, wherever that is. I chose a mountain top, with a large ledge in front of a wide deep cave. It is within this cave that I keep my mental Shamanic tools. I also keep the Gods/Goddesses of the North there and I call them out to the ledge when I need to talk to them.

Now, it is time to bring the whole Universe into your mind, consciously so it will be there when and if you need to use it.

Sit quietly, breath deeply and relax. Visualize yourself on your thone, or wherever. Now expand this to visualize yourself sitting on a throne in the middle of the state of Pennsylvania ( that's where I live, but you can visualize your state, country whereever you live.) Expand again. You are now in the middle of the United States. Now visualize the Planet Earth in your mind. Next visualize the Solar System, then the Galaxy, the Universe, and finally the Quantum Ocean, Mind of God.

Each of the these successive Visualizations will increase the depth and width of your own mind. You will have the Planet Earth in your mind; the Solar System; the Galaxy; the Universe and the Quantum Ocean within your mind. You have expanded your mind to include ALL of them. This is what Jesus meant when he said, "The Kingdom of Heaven is WITHIN!"

Finally it is only one more visualization that will make you a truley powerful Rune Shaman.

Visualize that your are IN the Mind of God.

By building and creating all these visualizations within your own mind, you become one with them. This is one of the secrets of, "As above , so below," and " Be still and KNOW that I am God."

Now you will be able to travel to all these places to do your work. But instead of going out, running around seeking; you will go WITHIN.

Rune - Shamanism
Part 1

Shamanism has been with us for a very long time. The Native Americans have Shamans; the Aborigines of Australia down under have Shamans; there are Tibetan Shamans, Eskimo Shamans; Lapp Shamans, etc.

They are all still practicing today. The question you must ask yourself now is this, what do you, a 21st Century, Western man/woman, living in a city, have in common with these practicing Shamans, or even the Shamans of the past?

The Shamans of old were known to live off by themselves "separate" and apart from the group or tribe. This component, I believe is just as important today as it was in the past. These have become very difficult times. And it is said, "When mass man rules, wise man hides." I believe that Shamans always knew that a major component of raising ones level of spirituality and consiousness was to live separate and apart from the "masses." To get oneself quiet from the everyday hustle and bustle.

For myself, I have very little in common with them, except that I do live a quiet life with my family, somewhat cloistered away. And I enjoy reading and studying about Shamans. But I would not and do not practice their Shamanic methods or techniques.

Why? The only constant in the whole Universe is change. Everything is doing either one of two things, it is changing becoming more evolved or devolved.

To evolve means to move ahead, along the path, towards a higher consciousness and individualization. To devolve means to move back on the path, of becoming less conscious and melding once again with the "mass minded."

Although the Shamans are mostly individuals they are using tools that belong to an age that is from the past. This Age is called the Age of Pisces.

We as a race and even our whole Solar System is moving forward into the Age of Aquarius. This is not just a play on words. Our Solar System, which rotates around a galactic Sun, is in a different space in the Galaxy, than it has been before.

Modern day Shamans need to stay ahead with these new energies. This new place in space will produce new energy, new ideas, new structures and new forms.

To be a 21st Century Rune Shaman, you must embrace these energies, ideas and structures. And let go of the old Shamanic Methodologies.

We have just started this 2000 year trip through this part of the Galaxy. We already have three great ideas and structures from this 'Age of Aquarius.' We have the Internet (for information), Radionics (for a power source), and the Laws of Quantum Physics for methodology and working principles.

The modern day Shaman needs to use these tools and get rid of the bones, animal skins, painted faces, chants and rants. They worked well for the old Shaman, the tribal Shamans who had a direct Resonant Frequency link to these tools and their own people.

But, you and I have grown out of that language. We do not need to practice their Shamanic Rituals and build a Resonant Frequency with them.

Danger!: The danger in practicing tribal Shamanic Rituals is that the Resonant Frequencies you build will actually connect the energies of that Shaman with you.

Do you really want the energy, mindset and motives of a Native American, Lapp, or Aboriginie Shaman in your Aura? Do you want them squatting on your floor performing their incantations? Do you want their spirit animals racing around your living room? Do you want them inside you?

I don't . They belong to the past and to small tribal groups of people, of which I do not belong. We have outgrown them and must move on.

I am surprised to see so many sites and books on the net discussing Shamanism and how to practice it. Where are the sites and books that tell of the downsides and dangers of obsession and possession by these powerful shamans?

Before I get into the "How to", the practice of Rune Shamanism for the 21st Century Asatru Pagan, let us look at what tribal Shamans do.

The Norse Shamanism was called Seider and it was mostly practiced by women called the Volver. They were also called Seid Women, wise women. They often went into trances, calling upon the spirits and Gods of other worlds. They revered and derived much of their power from horse's, particularly phallic symbols and cats. The term "Night Mare," comes from this practice.The Seid Women would astral travel through peoples dreams on a horse or "Mare."

That was all well an good. But is it for you? Trances, Astral travel, and opening yourself up to other world spirits can be dangerous.

Ancient and modern day Shamans worked the weather, affected people's minds, went on spirit journeys, causes storms at sea, shape-changed, wore bear-skin robes, went into trances and created totem animals.

Why would you a 21st Century Asatru Pagan want to do any of the above?

The Age of Aquarius is the indiviual way. Once we have thousands of Asatru Pagans taking care of themselves (individually) and their families we will have a better society made up of healthy, happy, protective family groups.

Shaman means 'One who Knows'. The key words of the Age of Aquarius is "I know."

Modern 21st Century Rune Shamans will know how to use Runes, Mental Radionics, Laws of Quantum Physics to help themselves and their families.

And they can learn to do it from the peace and safety of thier own homes. This is only the introductory article on Rune Shamanism. The "How To," will follow.
